He deployed both units of warriors to the centre with warshrines and hellcanon behind them. Lvl 2 in one unit and lvl 4 and BSB in the other. Knight were out to one side. His spells were pretty muchly everything he could have hoped for really, There were several big threats there to me.
I took first turn and moved up just to keep my lines in order, Lector man moveing up at full speed to get to grips with them. I fired both cannons and the mortar at the hellcannon and it emerged unscathed, twas a tad disappointing. His first turn he came forward as fast as he could, his knights tried a long range charge on my pegasus man to no avail, that was fortunate as it then got the knights facing out toward the side rather than my troops. First spell he tried was Infernal Gateway on the lector, I immediatly hit the seal and it destroyed that key spell. That was a good moment. He then tried a 4 dice comet in the middle of my lines, Sadly I failed to stop it with the 6 dice in my hand. Helcannon scattered off the arch lector.
I continued to move up with the lector, with the comet right behind me I also moved the infantry up. Pistols shot down a few warriors and the canon got a nice flank shot on the knights killing 4. Cannon and mortar again failed to do anything to the hellcannon. He decided to try and charge my pistols with his bsb+lord unit, I fled and got away quite easily, this presented his flank to my lector. Comet still hung in the air, he got pandemonium off.
I charged his warriors with Mr Lector and got myself a good distance from the comet that was rapidly gaining tokens. I stole pandemonium, then immediatly dispelled it. I also got savage beast off on Mr Lector. Cannons and mortar combine to kill one handler of the hellcannon. Pistoliers rally and run over and do a wound to the hellcannon. Mr Lector kills a few to impact hits and gets challenged by the BSB. I have 7 attacks at strength 8 with the spell and speculum. I do 7 wounds after hatred and sword of justice, he proceeds to save 6 with his 3+ ward. So I lost combat and he turns to face me. He charges my flaggellants with his chaos knights, I am willing to give them up as it will take a turn or two to get through them. Comet comes belting down at str 8 but a radius of 3 so hits nothing. He recasts it with 4 dice and again I fail on 5 dice to stop it, this time it is right on top of 1 cannon and mortar. His hellcannon shows my artillery how to snipe and wipes out one of my cannons. Lector squashes the BSB horribly this time, he is stubborn with his rank and holds. Flaggellants kill 2 knights and lose all but the champion, that is fine, they hold the knights in place.
I have a rush of blood to the head and charge his warriors with my halberdiers. I have no idea what I was thinking there, I send 5 brave swordsmen over to collect the knights after they kill the last flagellant. Warriors kill a heap of halberdiers. Mr lector gets challenged by the wizard lord. I do one wound for none in return. Cannon and mortar crush yet another handler on the hellcannon. He barrels into the 5 swordsmen and chops em up, they reform facing the spearmen. Warriors fighting the halberdiers get an extra attack and +1 armour save. Seals their fate really. Comet comes down and kills my cannon and mortar.
Pretty muchly ends up like that, I lose the halberdiers but they bring down the lvl 2 before they expire. I've also lost both cannons, mortar and flagellants. He lost just his characters. Left things at a draw but I got +2 bonus points to his +1
12-11 draw
